A few days ago I went to Istanbul with my wife. Not for birding really, but you know… you really cannot stop birding.
In the Bosporus the Yelkovans were flying north and south all the time as they always do.
Other birds around included Yellow-legged, Black-headed and Mediterranean Gulls, Shags and Cormorants.
We also took a trip to Buyuk Ada. On the island there were good numbers of Sardinian Warblers and a few Subalpine and Eastern Orphean Warblers. Istanbul is surely a good place to combine light birding and family!
